The other day I was talking with someone else who is making backup software (bup, to be precise). That was nice, so I thought I'd create an IRC channel for our kind of weirdos. If you like making backup software, please join #backuphackers on irc.oftc.net.

Also, I think there's a need for neutral third parties to run validation tests and benchmarks on backup software. Anyone interested in doing that?
