2. Two reports are produced. Summary: stronger and longer copyrights are bad.
3. The copyright industry says "boo".
4. The EC decides to ignore the experts it chose in the first place.
5. The EC proposes to extend the copyright protection of recorded music by 45 years.

I smell a rat.
