The PBS series The Machine That Changed The World is a bloody wonderful documentary on the history, development, and uses of computers. It has aged quite remarkably well.

Too bad you can't buy a copy. There is are copies floating around on the Internet, if you want to take the chance of getting caught.

I hope you do. This time it is worth it. The video quality is awful, but the footage and the interviews with some of the key people in our young industry don't particularly suffer from it.
